from all our years of living, we could sum up the answer to what really matters in just one word: people. life, love and the pursuit of happiness all spur from the energy of some very special people. whether it’s you, pushing yourself to quit a job that isn’t serving you, or your better half waking you up to tell you that it’s saturday and it’s snowing. it’s the people we keep close who matter. sometimes it’s easy to lose sight of what really matters. careers happen. schedules happen. but when we take the time to make time for what matters, time becomes our lifelong friend.
no relationship is perfect, which allows us to learn and grow together as people. a friend may say something you don’t like. it doesn’t mean you should stop being friends. a lover may wander off for awhile, but it doesn’t mean their love is lost. living in a constant state of forgiveness and total compassion allows us to love unconditionally. as we grow wise with those we love, conversations become deeper and the connection becomes stronger.
many have realized that it is a life purpose to be good to people. it’s these people who let others shine and help those who cannot find their light. they are true friends, everlasting lovers. with grace, we seek them out, and with gratitude, we keep them close forever.
