in celebration of father’s day this weekend, we asked one philosophy father a few questions about what it means to be a dad. it is our hope that you make a beautiful memory this weekend, whether it’s with your dad, or in his honor. happy father’s day from the philosophy family.
what’s one thing you want your daughter/son to know about beauty?
beauty isn’t a thing and you certainly can’t buy it. beauty is how you feel, how you see, how you act, how you think, how you talk, and how you listen.
how has philosophy influenced your relationship with your kids?
being around the products and the people, day in and day out, is a constant reminder of how one should live. it helps me realize what really matters – so when i’m with my kids i really try to make every moment count. life is here for us to live and enjoy, it’s not something we should just sit back and watch.
what are your plans for father’s day?
hopefully my kids will let me sleep in past 7am. they’re whipping up all kinds of surprises for me, the only thing i know for sure is that they are taking me and my dad bowling. more than anything i hope i can just spend a stress-free day with my family and enjoy the little things (and be treated like a king.)
